A law already signed makes most legal hemp products in America, ours included, illegal overnight. This week Congress moved the date from November 12 to December 11, 2026. That's not a fix. It's one more month to get one. It takes three minutes to tell them to.
In November 2025, Congress tucked a provision called Section 781 into a must-pass spending bill. It rewrites the federal definition of hemp. It was signed with a one-year delay.
Hemp is redefined at 0.4 milligrams of THC per container. Not per serving, per container. Almost nothing on the market today, including products with no detectable effect, fits under that line.
December 11, 2026. It was November 12 until this week, when both chambers voted (90–6 in the Senate, 370–48 in the House) to push the container limit back one month inside the funding bill. On that morning, without a real fix, a product that was legal the night before isn't.
A delay is not a fix. The bipartisan Lawful Hemp Protection Act, introduced in July, replaces the ban with real rules. It needs cosponsors before December 11. That's what your letter asks for.
